The Text Settings page, once set up, provides an overview of the Text Messages phone number, credits, and registration options.
Event Phone Number
This will be the number used for texting messages to and from. See Texting Set Up for more information.
Phone numbers are only associated directly with a single auction at a time although they can be used for any event managed by the organization.
Text credits are shared across all events associated with an organization. The number of "Current Text Credits", "Texts Sent", and "Texts Received" will be summarized in this section.
Text Based Registration
Assume bidder's phone# is text capable
A bidder can have a phone# and a cell phone# set. If this option is enabled then texts will be sent a bidder's phone# if the cell phone# is not specified. Otherwise only bidders with a cell phone# set will receive texts.
Allow bidders to register by text message
If this option is enabled then bidders will be able to register by texting 'register name' to the auction phone number.
Automatically register bidders when they bid/donate:
If this option is enabled then bidders will be registered automatically if they participate in bidding or donate to the auction.
Allow bidders to associate their bidder# by texting:
If this option is enabled then bidders will be able to associate their cell phone with their bidder number by texting 'claim bidder#' or 'claim email' to the auction phone number.
- Transfer Phone Number
You can use this action to move a phone number from one auction to another. A popup window will appear with a drop-down selector to choose the auction.
- Buy 1000 text credits
Clicking on this will take you to the Auctria online store pre-populated with the details for 1000 credits to be purchased.
- Buy 2000 text credits
Clicking on this will take you to the Auctria online store pre-populated with the details for 2000 credits to be purchased.
- Buy 3000 text credits
Clicking on this will take you to the Auctria online store pre-populated with the details for 3000 credits to be purchased.
- Send Text Message
Opens the Send Text page.
- Send Text Statement
Opens the Text Statements page.
- Refresh Settings
This refreshes the page.
- Back to Communication
This returns back to the main Communication dashboard page.
