Example: Advanced Tagging
Suppose we have a guest, Mr. Ed Time, who would like to purchase our unique inner-circle Platinum sponsorship for a table of up to eight of his friends. Mr. Time won't likely be able to attend, so he will not include himself at the table. However, as a registered event guest, he can still use his participant record to purchase the sponsorship and get that recognition as a sponsor on the event website.
Create The Platinum Sponsorship
Creating the "Platinum Sponsorship" item for your event will be among the activities you must ensure. For clarity's sake, add the "Platinum" tag when you make the item. Also, remember to set the number of admission tickets the sponsorship will include and whether or not you want Auctria to create a table for the item.
See How To Add Sponsorship Items for more information.
See Where Tags Can Be Used In Auctria for additional details.
Add Advanced Tagging To Sponsorship
Once you have created the sponsorship item, including admission tickets, you must edit the item directly to add the Advanced Tagging tags. These tags will be applied as part of the purchase process.
See Introduction To Advanced Tagging for reference.
Purchase Advanced Tag
The first tag option would include the "Sponsor" tag, which will give Mr. Time's participant record the reference commonly used for marking sponsors of an event with a tag.
Tickets Advanced Tag
The second tag option under Advanced Tagging will be applied to participants assigned a ticket through this purchase process. In this case, since the Platinum Sponsorship offers access to the "Inner Circle" activities of the event, you can apply the inner-circle
tag value here.
Sell The Sponsorship
Now that you have everything set up, you can offer the sponsorship via your event website or use the Sell Sponsorships feature to record the transaction via the event dashboards.
See How To Sell Sponsorships to continue.
After The Sale
Once the sponsorship sale has been recorded, Ed Time will get tagged with sponsor
, and his guests will have their participant records tagged with inner-circle
so these will be easily seen when their records are viewed. These tags might also be used to create a filtered list based on a combination of tags that have been applied. The opportunities are endless.
