Adding And Editing Tickets
This page briefly overviews where to add or modify your in-person event Admission Ticket items. An Auctria Ticket item can represent either a single admission or a multiple admissions Ticket item to be used for your in-person fundraising event.
INFORMATION
Admission Tickets are specially configured For Sale Type. Once created, a Tickets item will appear in your general all items list report as a For Sale type item.
An example of a multiple admission Ticket item might be a "Table For Eight." This would provide admission tickets for several guests up to eight by configuring the item's Tickets Per Sale value set to 8
.
The sale of the ticket item would create eight participant records (either with a separate or a shared Paddle#) and, optionally, could trigger the creation of a unique Table# in Auctria where the guests would be "seated."
Create Tickets
The best method to create a Tickets item is to use the Add Ticket Item on the Admission Tickets dashboard. This will ensure the Tickets item has its type set to For Sale and has an Admission Tickets Included value greater than or equal to 1
. This value represents how many participants will be accounted for per Ticket item.
This page can also enable the Show in default web purchase element option. This option is used to provide Tickets are automatically included when adding a "default" Tickets page.
To start, from the main event dashboard, click through Tickets Add Ticket Item.
This will open the Add Ticket page.
Some of the crucial fields to define when creating a Tickets item:
- Ticket Item Title - how the ticket item will be listed on the website, e.g., Early Bird Ticket.
- Pricing Value - the price you want to sell the ticket.
- Pricing Tickets Per Sale - the number of guest admissions this ticket represents.
- Availability Quantity - the maximum number of tickets to sell. Leave this blank (or set to 0) for an unlimited number.
Auctria Pro-Tip from Launch Services!
You can assign a "meaningful" item number for the ticket item, such as EARLYBIRD, which may make the ticket item easier to locate and work with than a system-generated item number (the default when creating any new item).
Reminder
Use this page to create items representing Admission Tickets only for your event. This would include Sponsorships Tickets items that include Admission Tickets.
Only create Ticket items for event tickets or whole tables; they should not be used for Raffles tickets or drink tickets that do not represent admission to the event.
Once you have entered the essential details for the ticket, click the Add Ticket Item button to save your new Tickets item.
Edit Tickets
Once a ticket is created, go to its Item Details page if you want to make any changes. You can either locate the Ticket item in the All Items list report or find Ticket items only listed under the Tickets dashboard Reports | Ticket Items.
You can either hover your mouse pointer over the ticket Item# (which will display a preview card) and click the Details link or double-click the Item# to open its Item Details page.
