Website Editor Mode Effects
The Website Editor has three distinct modes for viewing the event website in the editor. These modes affect feature sets in specific ways. Please see below for more details on the particular feature sets being affected and how those effects are implemented.
To view the specific effects, please click on its collapsed section to expand.
Visibility Effects
Visibility
Basic
Basic mode nearly matches what you will see in the website preview display. For example, if an element is set to show in edit mode, it will still show. This applies to all of the entries in the website header and to the elements (e.g., buttons) linked to a page with a Visibility condition set.
Standard
Standard mode (the default) will display any element with a Visibility rule that comes from the event's configuration. These conditions are:
- Maximum bidding enabled,
- Texting enabled,
- Bid extension enabled,
- Registration enabled without tickets,
- Has admission ticket items,
- Has sold sponsorships,
- Has sponsorship items,
- Has raffle ticket items,
- Has live auction items,
- Has online/silent auction items
...plus any element with any other visibility rule or condition type will be shown (with the icon indicator). This applies to the entries in the header (for example, pages like "My Account" will be shown with the hashed style) and applies to the elements (e.g., buttons) that are linked to a page with a Visibility condition set.
(advanced)
FullThe Full mode does not hide elements; they are all shown in the website editor. No Visibility condition will stop a website element, page, etc., from being viewed in this mode. This applies to all of the entries in the website header and to the elements (e.g., buttons) linked to a page with a visibility condition set.
