What Is The Difference Between Title And Description?

Auctria has two related fields: Title and Description.

Auctria uses 'Title' as the short name for the item. The 'Title' is shown in the item list, reports, and statements. It's a required piece of information for an item, serving as a quick identifier. The 'Description' Field, on the other hand, is a more detailed explanation of the item, shown on some printed forms and the website. It's optional, allowing you to provide additional context if needed.

You need to map the spreadsheet columns to the table fields when importing items.

If you are importing "Items," your spreadsheet will often have a "description" column. You must provide the Title for an item; the Description is optional. If you only have a single description column in your spreadsheet, it should be mapped to Title (as the required field) and not Description.

Although possible, mapping the column to both will result in duplicate, redundant information in the Item details.
