Labels

You can generate several different types of labels using Word templates.

The starting point for each of these is a Word document that reflects the layout of the label you will be printing on. Many label manufacturers have downloadable templates for their products, for example Avery's labelsopen in new window has a large library to choose from.

Typically, these Word documents consist of a table with cells for each label. This means that multiple sets of records are used on each page to populate the page of labels.

Often times, it is common to want to have multiple bidders/donors/items/etc. printed on labels, the general pattern is to put the content you want in each cell, using our templating syntax, and then include a {% next %} block which tells the site to move on to the next record.

When creating a template page, the end of the page has an implicit next instruction.
You do not need {% next %} in the last label of your template page.

Having the {% next %} instruction in the last label will cause records to be "skipped" when multiple pages are generated.
