How To Track "Paddle Raise" Donations
Learn how to track recorded paddle raise donations.
There are two ways of recording donations:
- Simple cash donations; or,
- Donations attached to specific Donation type items.
To record a straight cash donation, click on Bidding/Sales and select the Donation tab. See How To Record Donations for more information.
These will appear on the bidder's statement under the Donations section.
You can also create items with the Donation Items type and set specific values.
For example, if you are doing a Paddle Raise with four donation levels ($50, $100, $250, and $500) you would create four items with their type set to donation and their values as required. It can help to give these items a meaningful number as well, such as PADDLE50, PADDLE100, etc.
On the Donation tab of the Bidding/Sales page, when select the item# the amount is entered automatically.
If you are entering a whole list of donations for the same item, you can use the Pin item checkbox to prevent the item from being cleared on each recorded donation.
