A Portfolio is a collection of images and text you can use to showcase some items.
There is a difference between a portfolio and a catalog.
A portfolio is static, it will only show what you enter in the editor.
A catalog is dynamic, it will change based on what you enter in the Auctria database.
To learn more about catalogs, see Catalogs.
Add a Portfolio
Open the Content editor, and then select Portfolios.
Select the Portfolio element and then drag and drop it onto the website page. See Add an Element for more information. The Portfolio element will appear on the web page with placeholder content you will want to customize.
Change an Image
To change an image in a Portfolio, click Settings.
The Settings window appears. Select Customize, then click on the image that you want to change.
The selected image will appear in the Settings window. Click the Select Image button to use a different image from your computer, or to enter the web address of an image, you want to use.
After choosing the new image it will appear in the Portfolio.
To edit the placeholder text, double-click on on the text to open the Edit Content window.
The Edit Content window appears. Type over the placeholder text and use the toolbar to format the text. Click Save changes when finished.
When formatting text, be mindful people will be viewing the website on different sized devices, including phones and tablets, with different sized screens. It is best to avoid using hard-coded font sizes, since what may look big on a high resolution desktop monitor will look enormous on a smaller screen. Instead, use the predefined styles which will be scaled automatically based on the screen size, and to maintain a relative size to each other, without becoming too large.
If you are familiar with HTML, and web design, you can switch the editor into HTML mode by clicking on the
</> icon at the end of the formatting bar of the editor.
This will allow you to add HTML elements (excluding script tags) to the content.
To exit html editor mode, click the
</> icon again.
