# Why No Items In Catalog
# Item Category
One of the most common reasons for no items, or not all items, to appear in an Item Catalog is due to the item being assigned a category and that category having its options set to be excluded from the catalog.
For example, you may have configured your Item Catalog to display All Items (see Configure Items Displayed) but the website is just displaying the "There is nothing to show." message.
Check the item categories you are using (see Categories for more details) for the following option in the Usage section: Include in online catalog... and make certain it is enabled (set to Yes).
If this option is disabled (set to No) then any item assigned this category will not be displayed in any Item Catalog -- there is no override for this option, it must be adjusted here as needed.
