# Enable Bidder Registration
You must Enable Bidder Registration before bidders will be able to register online, purchase any tickets, or donate online at the auction/event website.
Any activity on the website that might require creating a new bidder record, for example, accepting a donation requires bidder registration to be enabled.
To turn on bidder registration click on Website > Bidder Registration/Checkout from the main Auction Dashboard menu and go to the "Online Bidder Registration" panel to set the Enable online bidder registration and ticket purchases option to be enabled (this is the default setting).
After enabling bidder registration, a visitor to your website will see a Register link in the Header of the website although this can be turned off in the Header settings.
